The Xterra is the most rugged, adventure oriented SUV Nissan offers.
The Xterra is available in four trim levels: X, S, PRO-4X, and SE. Rear-wheel or four-wheel drive is available, with the PRO-4X only available on four-wheel drive models. All models are powered by a 261-hp 4.0-liter V6. Six-speed manual and five-speed automatic transmissions are available. With the availability of features like alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, roof rack, and skid plates, the Xterra really is a go anywhere vehicle. Standard air-conditioning and bucket seats make any journey more civilized. Safety equipment for all Xterra's consists of dual-stage front supplemental air bags, front seatbelt pretensioners, traction control, stability control, and four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
A new PRO-4X trim replaces the Off-Road, and the SE trim has been dropped for 2011.
