The Nissan cube looks like nothing else on the road today; it boasts fun and whimsical styling, excellent fuel efficiency and space for five people in its comfortable, yet quirky interior.
The front-wheel drive cube is powered by a 122-hp 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, bolted to either a six-speed manual or Xtronic CVT. There are four trim levels available, 1.8, 1.8S, 18SL and 1.8 Krom, each is standard with features like speed-sensitive steering, anti-lock brakes, keyless entry, power windows, single CD player, 6-way manual driver seat, cloth seats, six airbags, active front head restraints, tire pressure monitoring and stability control. The S adds things like cruise control, Bluetooth, leather steering wheel with audio controls, a cargo cover, dual vanity mirrors, four more speakers (for a total of six), iPod interface and a driver seat armrest. The SL then adds a standard CVT, 16" alloy wheels, auto headlights, and auto climate control. Finally, the Krom specialty vehicle brings a custom look and feel to the line-up with an aero body kit, chrome grille, rear spoiler, 4.3-inch color audio display with USB port, a rearview camera and a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer.
For 2010, Bluetooth and leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls are now standard on the S and SL trims. The S trim is also now standard with 6 speakers, MP3-CD playback, iPod interface, radio data system (RDS) and speed sensitive volume.

Looks aside, we still think the Cube is a clever package that should win many cubist converts. Like its predecessor, the new Cube is based on Nissan's B platform, which also underpins the Versa hatch and sedan. -- Car and Driver
Nissan's Cube offers a surprising amount of space and practicality in a small and highly styled packaged. People shopping small sport utility vehicles, and outgoing folk looking for something beyond the ordinary subcompact universe should give Nissan's personality infused little box a look. -- Consumer Guide
